Default Vacuum Pump Setup

Will be using a vacuum pump on my high compression 416, AEI bracket and 4 vane Moroso pump, would this be a good idea to pull vacuum from? Already sold the valve covers on the pictures, will be getting a similar set.

I have a vaccuum pump also.
I have mine out the top of valve cover. I would imagine the picture you show might be a little low and would end up sucking oil.

I actually used the oil fill tube with a -10 oil fill adapter

Front area of a valve cover, preferably not directly over the rocker arm oiling. Use Moroso 22635 fitting in the valve cover.

12AN fitting in the center of the valley cover, only works with certain manifolds but less busy and cleaner look IMO. Save the valve cover to mount vacuum regulator valve.

That is a recipe for filling the catch can with oil excessively fast.

There is A LOT of oil in the valley area which is the first obstacle, and the second one with when you put the regulator on the engine and not on the vacuum pump inlet side, it creates a "draft" through the crankcase which draws oil with it.

The were, that’s why they started making these.

And on top of that, I’m not sure why anyone would want to be pulling unfiltered air into the crankcase?
