No air filter hurts your engine and wallet.... and is really stupid!

One thing I was a little bummed about with this new change was that I was pretty much going to have to give up the supplemental meth injection due to not wanting to go to a direct port type of system. I did a little searching and was able to find something that will probably work perfectly and allow me to keep that system. If you haven't notice by now, I'm all about power even if it's minimal. This should also help with IATs. Pretty much a win/win situation

I e-mailed them to see if they actually have them in stock.

This is gonna be sick!

Did you know that Kinsler Injection makes a DBW throttle actuator for the 4150/4500 TB?

I remember you were looking at this route a long time ago weren't you? Wasn't it stupid expensive though?

Back when I was originally looking into it, there was no real solution other than to cobble various parts together, and it was expensive.

I spoke with the Kinsler guys at PRI in December, but I can’t remember the pricing of this, but I didn’t pass out, so it couldn’t have been too bad.

What I find bizarre is when I’m in this section, I want to rip out my iron block/turbo setup and build a badass aluminum NA deal, yet when I’m in the FI section, I just want to buy a bigger turbo and make more power… lol

Yeah, I’ve looked into it. I believe it’s north of $2500 for 1. 2 would almost cost more than what I have in my heads, lol.

Got the lid opened up to accept the full flow from both those monster 4500s. Had to clearance the side for the linkages to sweep without interference. I also made some gaskets out of teflon and will do the same for the base-to-head once I get it. Linkage arm and bolts should be here tomorrow and I can bolt it all down and make sure they are opening in sync, etc...

Cesar already started working on the base, so hoping to see that in the next week or so.

I just found another option for a DBW actuator. And much more reasonable in price.

Aussie built. https://www.efihardware.com/products...e-actuator-dbw
