That looks like a killer build. Only 1 thing I question just a little bit is going HR rather than SR. I know HR has come a long long way. Guess I'm stuck in the 70s. Please-keep us posted. BTW, what happened to the RHS block built previously?....

I questioned staying HR too. Eric didnt seem worried about it at all. I started thinkn SR n be done, but he told me not to worry. RHS block is chinese garbage and had poroscity issues. It was doa. Its in my other build thread, including the method I used to test the block with hot water. I got a refund on the block, sold what I could, and kept what I needed for this build.

Thanks. Im running a rmvb 4l80 built by Extreme Automatics. Gunna use a 9.5" FTI hard hit converter without lock up...prolly a 4k ish stall. Waitn on a dyno sheet before I call them up. I dont really have any goals per say. 600+ at the tires feels about right. Car is on a small drag radial(255/60/15). Lotsa adjustable suspension to play with. Sure be nice to get into 9s effortlessly and drive it home with ac, stereo, back seat, etc. Car is to nice to cut up for a tub n bigger tire. With the full frame in these A-bodies, its a lot if work and will most certainly lose the back seat.

Man, Im sorry to hear that. I thought the RHS blocks were a good product. What did they do, cast the first 50-100 here in the U.S., then send out the casting process to China?? I wonder how many other people got hosed???

The RHS blocks are junk. They ve had tons of issues over the years...Builders like Mast, Chad Golen, etc stopped using them. Mine was doa. I had overwhelming proof it was DOA, and they still fought me on the refund. It was during the covaids years and they didnt have any in stock or an eta to replace with new(which I would have just sold). They dont even own a system to test the block the way I had to. It only leaked when warm, under operating temperatures. Try and recreate that scenario. I did!

What is it called when you run water through the block at operating temps during honing. Would it beneficial to do do it during boring too?

anyone??

Very early starting block to form an intake distribution "turtle" ... you wet intake guys oughta know stuff like that . Used with single carb on large plenum manifolds to help guide the fuel/air to the outer cylinders and keep it from puddling .
