Default Gen 3 or 4

A 2005 silverado hd 6 liters its considered a gen 3 or 4? Should be 24 teeth or 58 in the reluctor wheel?

The engine is a Gen III if made during 05 model year, and uses the 24x reluctor.

Since this port is smaller and going into a larger head port I think you're ok to leave it. Is it ideal, no, but also not a huge deal. If it was the reverse and the cylinder head port was smaller creating a ledge that the air had to travel over, I would say major issue.
