What break in oil do you use?
I don't think Rotella has the same amount of zinc it used too. I know it's decreased over the years.. I've done a lot of flat tappet stuff, but it's been good on all the LS's I've built and several went into road race setups. Old habits die hard. That being said, if LME or Kurt Urban run standard oil, then that's good enough for me.
Its beneficial. You want the new parts to “marry” in. Dino oil allows this to happen, even with zinc in the additives package. Most engine builders will agree that synthetic oil is a bit “too slippery” for proper marrying of parts. I like the Valvoline VR stuff because of its quality additives package, and it’s conventional. ALSO, and this is important guys, Valvoline and Mobile, and Valvoline and Driven agree with each other. Not all conventional oils agree with your particular choice of synthetic so you have to research this out. I like Mobile and Driven and use both exclusively. Driven in my big power race stuff, and mobile in my mild builds.
It's been said that putting Bon Ami into the engine cylinders will help to seat stubborn piston rings. Why in the world would anyone put an abrasive household cleaner into an engine is anyone's guess. I wouldn’t be the guinea pig.
People on this board talk about him like he's the Albert Einstein of engine building, but to me, he just looks like an internet troll.
He posts things that sound like riddles/ inside jokes.
"Hey everybody, remember the time I went to the racetrack and didn't have to use a grease-gun? If you know, you know!"

I wouldn't get bothered about this, if it wasn't for other respected members praising him . I would just think he was some kook, talking out of his ***.
Serious question: Has he helped any of you, in a real way?
