Went down to Norris Lake in Tenn over the weekend, and there was a burnt orange color C6 vette driving around, in deerfield village. I wish I would have had my cell phone on me to take some pics. Was anybody else down there over the weekend that might have also seen it?? I didn't know they were out yet? And boy that thing shore was nice looking!

 

Don't worry, in a year you'll see so many of 'em it'll make you sick.

We aren't expecting our first cars at out dealer until mid-September. They kept pushing it back from August. Among the first three that are scheduled to show up will be a Daytona Sunset Orange Metallic. Whatever lucky bastards sell these things will be Re-och Be-otch 'cause they're starting off at $5K over sticker for newbies and $3K over sticker for current C5 owners. I'll get to wring one out good in September as our dealer is sending us to Sebring for a day long training seminar on the C6 and SSR, which will BOTH have the LS2 engine in them this year. Hope to take pics, if they'll allow us to!

 

If you all come to Bowling Green, KY for the fbody invasion, you'll see plenty they are all over the place here.

i saw one in detroit too.. it was burnt orange! looks nice but they will produce too many of them.. the ones we will need to look for are the Z06 editions.. won't be too many of those! they are going to have insane horsepower!

 

We'll have to wait until the 2006 model for the Z06 if I remeber correctly.

The exact reason everyone hates dealers. They are such ********. If I did what a dealer does in my business I wouldnt have too much to do as I would be out of business.

acually their may be more c6's here in bowling green than camaros it's no longer safe around here for stock lt/ls1 cars since the people driving these prototypes are suposed to be giving them 9 kindsa h3ll!

 

That statement just about made me spit out my drink laughing! Half the C5's I see around here are ZO6's. ZO6's comprise about 1/4 of Corvette production in the 03-04 model years. They are not that rare.

The C6 will be the same story....except that there will be more of them than the C5 versions. They came out with the ZO6 4 years after they released the first C5. And they didnt really ramp up production until late 02/early 03. The new ZO6 is coming out only 1 year after the C6 is being released. Do the math, there will be a **** load more of 'em out there.

 

I live in an area where my "Trunk Slammin', City-iot, Flatlander" neighbor is a GM Techie. He's bringing a C6 up for our local little car show in a couple of weeks. No biggie for me since I get "down-below" (Detroit) at least three to four times a month and have seen enough already to make me, well.....want one. But the local pop up her is well.... to quote David Lee Roth, "Goin' Crazy!" It's only a 'Vette people! Sheesh! ( I'm refering to the people in my town who are acting as if this is the first production year for the thing)
