LS7- 7.0L or 6.4?
Look up Chris @ AP Engineering's post on the heads. My understanding is he flowed a set. Cross between a C5R head/SB2.2/and current LS head.

Flow was in the 370 range...
If they are 2V, they should bolt up to our current motors... Keep that in mind, (its a good thing).
Pics...
Same Throttle body as the LS2...same bolt pattern

as opposed to a simple big cube motor that can make that kind of power without breaking a sweat.
and as for the 500hp 427 being such a dissapointment: so what if they already have a motor making more power than that? im sure the power under the curve will be much more favorable, and im sure there will be plenty of cam packages ready to go once the car rolls off the production line.
more cubes is 'most always better. and if its an LSx motor being compared to another LSx motor then the bigger cubed motor should have more potential power output regardless of its factory ratings.
would you prefer a finely tuned 300hp 346ci motor or a choked the hell up 300hp(for arguments sake) 427ci motor which you know could easily polish up to smoke the crap out of the smaller motor?

Will find out for sure in a couple of months I guess when the Z06 debuts at the Detroit show.

These are all new part numbers? I see the stroke is 3.27" 352.7 CI. 4.150 bore.
Are these parts available to the general public anytime soon?
Does this meen I should put off ordering my Darton block?
On a side note I hae a feeling that the 243 head casting will come down in price soon now that they are standard on all LS2 applications.
<<C. CYLINDER HEAD: Part Number: 12578452 (GM)>>
This part # and the others are the LS7?
If ya doubt it, bookmark this thread and come back to it once the Z06 is officially revealed at the Detroit Autoshow in January.
