Default Expected Price of a Turn-Key LS7 Crate Engine?

What's the expected price of a turn-key LS7 crate engine when it comes out?

A turn-key LS1 is what, $6000? So, you think it will be like $10,000 or $12,000?

I'd guess closer to 20-25K (like that ZL1 which was released not too long ago)

My brother-in-law is parts manager at the local GM dealership. Right after the LS2's came out a guy came down with his Z and got one for $10,000. I am not sure what the labor cost was.

How much is a turn-key LS6 crate engine from GM? I bet it's just a few thousand more. I can't see an LS7 being more than $15.

Wouldn't that be bad in a Camaro? ZL1, eat your heart out!

my ls6 was $5200 for the longblock. I hope gm sells the ls7 as a longblock also. Why do you need turn key for, if you have a ls1 car you have the harness, ecm, and accesories. I'll guess $8,000 longblock

The LT5 out of the ZR1 goes for $13-14k so I would guess a similar or slightly higher price all things considered.

If an ls7 is 20k then I'm buying a 632 bbc instead, and it would probly be more powerful too.

longblock for ~9-10k, which is still a great deal. considering you'll get long-lasting titanium components that will outlast a good portion of the aftermarket if they build them right, as well as c5r-based heads included in that price. for 9-10k that'd still be a KILLER deal. swap the cam for larger and you're REALLY makin power....i'm gonna run a bigger cam in my 346 than this 427 is gonna come with stock.

A 632 BBC would embarrass the LS7. Hell, GM ZL502 (whatever its called) will make more power than a LS7.

Don't forget its "hand made". That'll bump it up a few thousand. My guess is 16,500.
