what clutch is everyone using for their 402 ls2?

exceedytwin for me . also her asuie clutch is working well !!! im not conveniced exceedy will hadle track & sticky tire days but the daily driving is good

well, I am running a spec stage 3. I just finished breaking it in, when it started slipping the 1st time out full throttle. It's at the shop awaiting teardown and inspection as I type. I was curious to see what others with similar setups were using and if any problems were encountered making this power.

I'm in the same boat as you. I have a 414ci LS2 going in the next couple weeks and yesterday my 3500 mile Spec 3 was acting up on my H/C combo with slicks. Last year it was fine for low 1.7 60fts, so now I have to find a suitable clutch for the new motor. I'm hoping for something suitable for 1.5 60fts and streetable as well. I do not think the Spec 3 is appropriate after yesterdays performance.

I am running the Ram Powergrip HD. So far no problems at all with the Ram clutch.

well, it seems there were contributing factors to the failure of the clutch. The slave cylinder is bad, and a freeze plug on the rear of the motor was leaking slightly causing it to slip. Who knew that eagle uses a freeze plug to seal the crank? I sure didn't. Perfect timing being a holiday weekend. Can't seem to find a place open that carries this apparently "special size" freeze plug.
