i know that the LS1, 2 and 6 intake manifolds won't work on a LS7 intake. do the C5R heads work on a big enough LS1? if so then the LS7 heads should work being that they are very close to the C5R heads.

Those heads and intake are a mandatory pair for the use of either but the block I'd bet will work with all other LS series heads.

And the ports are larger. They require an Offset rocker to clear the extra space in the port so the pushrod doesn't protrude into the intake port. If that kind of work was done, the Head bolts may have been moved to make room. I've looked @ pics, but they only say so much.
I Don't care about the LS7 heads or LS7 Intake. I'm curious if anyone knows if the regular LS1/LS6 heads will bolt on. That's it.

The Ls stuff will all bolt up together. The only issue with ls7 is that the valve size of the ls7 head is too big to clear the bore of a 3.900 or a 4.00 block. But, everything bolts up from my understanding. So, LS6 heads can bolt on an ls7 block, etc....

Thinking that if/when the LS7 block comes out, youcan build a cheaper motor and still make damn good power using AFR 225 heads.
But, we'll all have to wait and see what the LS7 heads and intake go for. Might be better to go with that or (to save money) go with the regular LS1/2/6 parts.
