Default Puttin on Boost

Ok this is for the far future but I'm picking up an LS2 this winter to swap into my monte. Plans for now are to keep it all stock with PCM tuning, 160*, exhaust, and a cold air setup.

Now at some point, I'd like to push some air threw the motor using a home brew turbo setup. With a stock bottom end LS2, stock compression ratio but with the proper tune, what kind of safe boost can I bush threw this, intercooled of course.

I tried searching but came up w/ mostly modified shortblocks.

Thanks
Nick

it all depends on the flow of the component your strapping on... 10 psi on a 16g is a lot less than 10 psi on a t-78....

I would probably be looking at a mid size turbo probably no bigger then a T-78. I know thats not small but its not the biggest either.

Thanks

I'd say 5-6 psi would be safe with stock internals.

I'm still trying to make up my mind whether or not to do anything with my bottom-end while I have my motor apart or not. I'm planning FI later but not sure how much boost. Waiting to find out if my cam will work well with boost.
