The LS2 is going in the orange car right? I absolutely love the look of that car; the paint is beautiful. I really liked your '69, too.

Right now it looks like I'm basically stuck with an aftermarket computer setup, which is fine because it is probably cost competitive with a hypothetical stock setup if not cheaper, and it will be a ton more user friendly. It'll eliminate the need for a MAF, and make it much easier to tune for the still undecided cam.

Yep.. going in Penny along with a T56 and C5 vette front suspension..

You got me beat in the cool factor though with that LS7.. NICE!

Let me know when the car is done.. I have connections in the magazine world..

Thanks for the nice words about the motor; I was just glad to see that the plate didn't have your name on it.

T56 and C5 front sub...sounds eerily similar to want I've got planned for this car. What sub are you going with? How about out back? I'm thinking DSE 4-link or Lateral Dynamics 3-link for mine, right now. It seems like someone has a new suspension for these cars every week, so who knows where I'll end up.

I jut received confirmation that our LS7 shipped today and will be here Friday! Someone on the board mentioned the idea of a tech area for the group of us trying to make these run. Has anyone made any traction on that idea? We are desperate for information on the engine management side. Sounds like BigStuff is the way to go but developing a baseline could be brutal! I was really hoping LS1 Edit would be able to crack the factory PCM so we could take advantage of the millions GM spent on developing the maps. Does anyone have the drysump tank yet? We are expecting one but before I commit to GM I want to know if it will fit!

lol.. they made me a plate with my name on it.. If I ever get an LS7 I am putting that puppy on there!!

The sub I am using is a nice one from a newer company called 21st Century Street Machine in North Carolina.. slightly nicer than the Wayne Due one since you can adjust for instant center..

Their site is: http://www.21stcenturystreetmachines.com/

In the back I am going to rework the existing 4-link with a new PHB. The DSE uinit is nice but the 3-link looks sweet as well but I haven't seen a real one yet or pricing. Only prob with 3-links is the backseat area but it is a better design overall.

You hang out on pro-touring.com at all?? I am a mod there.. well I will be on Friday.. lol

Yeah, I had to steal your joke a little bit on the name plate thing, but I did like your story on building one. It must have been really cool to be able to see how it was all done. You're lucky--you got to see all the fun parts of the motor. I'd have to take mine all apart to see all the good stuff.

I'm just waiting for SEMA to see how that 3-link will really look in a car. Hopefully not too much hacking is required, as I'd like to have a back seat. The DSE 4-link definitely isn't too bad to fall back on, seeing as a year ago all we had was drag race 4-links, truck arms or leaf springs.

WD and 21st CSM were the only two I knew of for C5 front clips, and I'm very interested how your LS2 will fit up to the 21st sub.

I'm registered over at pro-touring.com, but I'm basically a lurker. I don't have much personal experience with suspension sort of stuff, so I don't have much to add. I've definitely picked up a ton of good info there, though. Congrats on the moderatorhood over there; now you can mess with Nineball in two admin forums.
