Default good dual spring for .670 lift

The cam I will probably be running is ~ .660. Hydraulic. What would my spring choices be? This is on LS7 heads...factory installed height is 1.980 or something...vs 1.800 for LS1/LS6. Should I still go with 1.800?

You gotta crank up the lift with those heads! They flow great...but not any better than any other head out there at .550

Craig at ET scoped out some good .700" lift springs for my hydraulic set-up. You have way more choices when you step up to the 1.9xx install height. I'm sure he'll let you know hwich ones they are.

I have a set of NEW unopened Ferrea's sitting at Synergy, good for up .660 lift laying around. Paid $550 or so. Say $400?

If you want to go higher, I would be thinking triples, which is a little harsh is street ride.

PM me if interested and/or just call Synergy.

BUYAMERICAN...I looked at Ferrea's website, and those springs (S10008) are only rated for .620 lift, not enough for what I'm doing. Also, $400

I think I'm going to go with Cam Motion K-Motion K800. $120

Open = 165# (1.850 installed height)
Closed = 470# (1.150)
Bind = 1.085

1.460" diameter
good to .700 lift.

Question: are the Morel lifters able to handle this spring? There should be zero problems keeping the valves closed with these springs, ti intakes/sodium stem exh

The Morels should have no problem with them.

Greg,

I just looked on their site and you are correct after checking the item number you posted..I am going to have a word with the vendor in Texas that sold me those .660's whith are really the .620's at $550. I am not particularly happy about that.

I am more impressed with the springs below. That is a fantastic price. Let Rick know how they work. You might want to check pressure and coil bind before you install. .700 is pretty impressive for a double.

We use the Comp R lifters, I am not sure about the Morels.
