You can buy a manifold for these Heads that is nearly the same dimensions as the ls6-ls2 manifolds.

The main difference is the port shape to suit the new head.
We have had this manifold for over 6 months. I have one laying around if you need photo's

Without predjudice to the US design team<> I think it would be great to see pictures and if possible, get a GM part number.

As you said, results will sell. If you can build something and prove results and make it affordable, it's pretty hard to mess up after that.

I would like to see how well the L-92 manifold flows first, then see if modifying the top half of the manifold for a car application helps or hurts the flow. just my .02

Plenty of interest can found on this board I'm sure.

I can't believe the bigger shops haven't been burning the midnight oil to get their hands on and develope a L92 performance engine. Keeping it a secret doesn't do the shops any good either with resleeved LS1 and 2s, Darton and Warhawk blocks available.

The ls1 is also a truck motor and that fits under ok.
There are already picture available on the internet showing the new 6L car engine in Oz, it looks no different from the LS6 intake.
Anyway Ive told enough people about this, if you arnt interested thats your call.

i need photos, a GM part number, and any info you've gathered over the last 6 months that you'd like to share.

even if it flowed only as much as an early LS1 manifold, the heads will more then make up for it.. lol.

also, i need the GM part numbers for the fuel rails... does it use the shorty injectors or do the "standard" size ones fit?
oh, and the part number for the bolts to hold it down
and the gaskets PN if they dont come with the manifold..

(yes, im serious. lol)

If there is already another option, I'm going to cut off my work on this project. It has been delayed now until we get further info on the Aussie manifold. If prices are astronomical or it in fact doesn't work, I'll pick it up again. It isn't financially sensible to keep working on something that is already done and in production.

so far the "other option "is all this: **makes talking movements with hand**

and none of this: **holds up a real car part**

i have yet to even see pics posted... nevermind the fact that its hidiously hard to get aussie parts here in an affordable manner.

your market does exist.. even if its only for a limited time of say, a year or two.

Don't forget us LS2 owners (DBW) who also want a cheap stroker. Definitely interested.

I think the market for a single plane style intake, that can be used with either an elbow or a carb style TB, or even a carb would have a bigger and better place then say a ls1 style intake. I'd just change the direction to something like that. A plastic one could even work.. if you can get the tolerances right, an injection molded piece, finished off with a little machine work on the mounting surfaces would be trick. Easy to port, easy to install, could easily be fitten with o rings a gasketless install.. be a trick piece, and on top of it, wouldn't heat soak and would be light as hell. FI I had the resources, I'd try to go for that. Just try to make it short enough to fit under an f body cowl with minumal clearancing, at least just clear the hood and you'd be golden, probably sell as many of them as there are sets of these heads made.

I'd be interested. I'm thinking about building some budget 402 motors and those heads and your intake would be just the ticket.

Haha, I said IF....

Good point, though. Well taken.

JL ws-6 - As much as I'd love to do a single plane manifold, I think most people would still be interested in something that can fit under the stock hood. In terms of complexity, the single planes are pretty amazingly simple. Who knows, that may be an option in the future. Just not the target market right now. Sorry.

aussie ls1 - Still waiting for pics and confirmation. Please go ahead and post.

-Russell
