L-92 Head Compatible Intake Manifold Interest
I’m working on an intake that would be compatible with the square runners on the L-92 heads. The benefit to this is that it will fit under car hoods, unlike the truck intake that was originally conceived for these fine heads. This would allow the use of the fine L-92 heads on anything with a 4” bore or larger. These heads are basically a slightly smaller version of the LS7 and are significantly less pricey from what we’ve been able to determine.
Pricing isn’t anywhere close to finalized and anything I tell you right now would be nothing better than a guess. These are budget heads, so I’m going to discontinue the project if it can’t be done in a way to keep it affordable.
It will be compatible with normal cable drawn throttle bodies, so an adapter wouldn’t be required like with the LS7.
So far the preliminary results have shown these heads to peak above 310cfm stock. Some of the head porters are reportedly working on them to get some improvements. That’s not my realm, but I’ll be excited to hear their results.
I’m making this post to see if there is interest for this product. Is there? Should I continue? Convince me.
I realize results will sell the product, so they are priority. The budget nature of these heads should help to accelerate the process.

Im already buying a set of the l-92 heads to hand finish when available. Hook us up man, composite intakes shouldn't cost 800 bucks a pop.

Anyone else?
Nate seems really excited about this.....

Damn straight. Im a frugal ******! These heads with a small runner ported (230 cc's) should be able to put a stock cube l-92 at 5XX+ rwhp.Nate
If so Holden/GM Oz is shipping cars fitted with this intake now, a part number was posted not so long ago.

price.. because this is for "budget" head guys..
and quality of course... because if it sucks, noone here will buy it once the word gets out.
btw, for me, a 3rd thing it would need would be to use the stock "O-ring" type seals... not a gasket.
just my opinion.. i was thinking about this subject this mornign matter of fact... its $$$ for a one time run of the intake to head plates on a CNC for the gaskets.. even if i do the dxf file myself... heh.
i WANT thoes heads.. i feel they're the future of the genIII/genIV development... ive been talking about them for months now...
but the intake manifold is holding us back.
