would this type of conversion be even possible. I would throw a procharger on it as well. Would i have to buy one made for the corvette body or f-body? Cause if this would be possible. i'm gonna buy a high mileage ws6 and rip out the engine and have some fun with the ls7!
Plus i would also replace the rear-end with a ford 9" or a moser 12bolt. not to sure which one to use though

Unless you have some seriously deep pockets, and can afford to risk blowing a $15,000+ engine, I would advise against it. The 2006 Z06 test car for procharger shot a piston through the block at only 6 #'s of boost.

yeah you can dump half that money into your car and be a lot faster. i see no reason to do that. and the ls7 had a very high compression ratio, not good for forced induction, you would need some dish pistons in that to make it worth blowing

Have you got $14,000 for the LS7?
Have you got $6k+ for the Procharger?
Have you got $1200 for a clutch that will hold the power?
Have you got $1400 for a built tranny to handle it?
Have you got $2300 for a 12 or 9" rear that will handle it?
Have you got $1200+ for an upgraded suspension to handle it?
Have you got at least $750 for the correct tuning?
Have you got $3000 for a misc. fund to cover all the details I forget to mention?
There are much better/cheaper options that will put a boosted stock LS7 to shame. -Joshua

my vote is for a 347 or 408, both can be blown or sprayed, or even turboed if you're into that sort of thing. And you WILL have to replace the tranny, driveshaft, and rear as well. Not to mention suspension and tires to keep the power to the ground. But it's still worth it considering the price of the C6Z06.

Buy a re-sleeved LS2 block with a forged bottom end built for boost (ie dished forged pistons and looser rings etc), stud it, and put some LS7 style heads/manifold on it. Then run your blower and you will make some insane power. The LS7 block and pistons are not good for boost. And I'm not sold for TI rods in setups that aren't N/A.

the LS7 is a cute motor for people who want to remain stock..
if you want to talk about building a badass motor to make people like us drool, you'll be talking more displacement, LS7 style ports, in an aftermarket block.
if you want people who arnt into cars to drool about its speed... just leave it with the stock motor. no guy off the street is going to know the diff between a 450rwhp car and a 1200 one.. he just knows you're spinning the tires at 50
