Default 4.00" stroke in LS2 block safe ???

I have a quesion for guys that are familiar with running a 4" stroke in a LS2 block vs Iron LQ9 block. I have heard that the sleeves in the LS2 block are a little short for running that 4" stroke. Basically I wanted to see from a longevity point of view, does the piston come down out of the cylinder enough to warrent going to the iron block because the cylinders are a little longer and the rigitity is much greater. Or is it not really that much to worry about. Thanks

It will be fine. There are many, many 402ci LS2 engines out there now.

6.125" rods, The crank its self isn't the problem, its the rod bolts,The stroke of the crank causes the circumference of the rotation larger and causes the rod bolt to come in contact with a few things ,like cylinder walls and oil pan (F-Body) and windage tray ,that's the problems that i had but not hard to fix with a die grinder

Pretty much like building a 383ci SBC like I just did yeah it's not that big a deal cool now I know.

ive got a 402ci ls2 SB sitting in my garage, they had to grind a notch for the rods to clear the cylinder walls, not alot taken out just enough for clearance.
