I don't want to come across as a jerk, but he has good point.

But to your credit we have no idea how aggressive your cam is compared the LG cam and what state of tune each motor is in.
I love what you guys do at Katech, keep up the great work!

well back to the point the lg vette is running ONLY cam mildly touched heads and their 13/4 long tubes everything else factory so what are you trying to say by catch my drift? He misworded it by saying bolt ons. They never mentioned any other mods???? Not trying to start an argument just for some credit thrown at LG. Anyway you guys are top notch in my books.

I was saying the engines are very similar.

What about nitrous use, I GUARANTEE, if the Katech engine can handle a 200shot weekendly; it will take out the LG package.

Lingenfelter's price does not include headers, where you guys do include headers - good point. You indicated the cam was aggressive. How will street drivability be? Will it pass emissions?

I also notice that you guys are offering a FI prepped LS7 package. That is very cool. Is it safe to assume SC's will soon be available for the C6 Z06? Do you know something we don't

Anyway, great work as usual from you guys. My Z06 will be in any day now and I am trying to figure out what I want to do in terms of modding.

damn stop jumpin on this guy's ***** both motors are f'in sweet and make a ton of power with little, relatively untuned/untested mods. not every ls7 is going to be exactly the same, same like all ls1's are different, i personally woul picl this katech package for the peace of mind with the forged pistons (which should have come from the factory wit hthe power levels being seen on this motor) with that said, all dynos arent created equal, only way to compare is to stick both cars on the dyno at the same day, untill then its just aples to oranges

The $8400 upgrade to your LS7 does not include headers. Headers are included in the Z06 vehicle package which we will be releasing in our upcoming catalog. I'll give you some feedback on the street drivability within a week. I doubt it will pass emissions.

I know there are companies working on supercharger and turbocharger systems for the LS7. We have been and building strategic parnerships with these companies and will release information as it becomes available.

I'm glad you can see the difference between a dynojet and a superflow engine dyno.

I see and understand the difference. For comparably modded LS7 engines LG is making about 70 more hp with a stock short block, correct?

Actually, it's more like 100hp more. I wonder where it comes from.

lol - I won't go there.

But one look at your calibrated and corrected dyno graph is all I need to recommend your product to anyone. With packages like this I can see even Viper owners looking sideways and thinking about getting one.

I would expect no less than 600+rwhp from a H/C LS7.
People with just bolt-ons, headers, cold air intake, tune etc, on internally stock LS7's, are getting over 500rwhp.
Do the math that's in the 600hp range at the crank on an internally stock engine

So you believe that another 120 RWHP from just a CAM and PORTED EXHAUST will be the NORM???

As much as I'd love to see it, your math doesn't add up on my calculator.

Katech: that's a REALLY nice package for the price and I'm sure you'll get a lot of business

Obviously it won't be the norm, but that's what I would expect if I were tearing into the engine.

lol, i just have to share this....
i cant hear this video here at work, so i finally went to listen to it on the laptop lastnight.. obviouslly, the tinny laptop speakers wouldnt do, so i pluged it into my home stereo.
it sounded cool, and i wanted to hear it clearer, so i turned it up....

in the year or so that ive lived in my apartment, ive never had any neighbors complain to me... but apparently a dyno run at 10pm is just what you need to get not one, but TWO neighbors to knock on your door.
