LS1 to LS2 Racetronix cam sensor wiring harness problem...
Has anyone run into this, I'm installing my LS2 402 and I went to connect the cam sensor harness and the female end that connects behind the intake works fine, but I went to plug the male part into the cam sensor up at the front cover, and it won't fit. It's the wrong connector, and it won't go in, which SUCK ***! I don't know what to do, any ideas???
I was thinking of getting a new plug and swapping over the wires to it, but not sure what plug to get if I can get it.
HELP!

Don't know if yours is like my complete crate engine was ????
There was a 6" long [(small) male to (large) female] extension harness plugged into a (small) female plug on the LS2 front cover.
Once I removed this 6" long harness the correct (small) female plug was there to accept the LS1 wiring harness (small) male plug.
Pic of the bracket and wiring:

Just to be clear (since I'm wiring up my eDIST and it has an LS1 schematic):
Did you plug the LS1 harness male plug into the LS2 front cover after discarding the 6" thingie?
Or did you plug the Racetronix harness male plug into the LS2 front cover and the LS1 harness male plug into the Racetronix female plug?
thanks,
jp

Both of these will work.
OPTION 1
Extend the LS1 cam sensor harness about 18" in length , cross over the outside wires--> LtoR, CtoC, RtoL, then plug the LS1 harness male plug into the LS2 front cover after discarding the 6" thingie.
OPTION 2
Plug the Racetronix harness male plug into the LS2 front cover after discarding the 6" thingie, and the LS1 harness male plug into the Racetronix female plug.

That was not necessary. The Katech harness plugs into the jumper harness on the front cover.

my ls6 did not have a jumper harness on it, well neither did my ls2 longblock when i got it.
so do you think this is affecting it to start??

LS6 does not have a CMPS in the front. The LS2 long block should have come with that jumper. It could be affecting the start if it's not making a connection. Also check the vehicle side connector and make sure it's plugged in correctly. That uses a modified connector and it is possible to plug it in backwards.
