Default Gauging Interest in L-92 Sheet Metal Intake

Mizfit MotorSports would like to find out how many people would be interested in a Sheet Metal Manifold for the L-92 heads. The kit would include Sheet Metal Manifold, Fuel Rails, and 90mm TB (most likely a NW 90mm).
We have only built one of these intakes and have done our very best to keep the price as low as we possibly can. We hope that it will be affordable enough for you guys to take advantage of the L-92's and have a high flowing manifold. Our number one goal here was to make a kit as cheap as possibly without sacrificing quality. Maybe someday GM will come out with a cheaper option that we can all benefit from, but for know this is the best we can do. The point of this thread is to gauge the public’s interest in the overall price and quality of this kit. The Manifold in the pics in not the completed one but it is the only pics we have now. We will update as soon as we can. The intake will be able to clear the stock hoods.

Kit price as of now is approx. $1550

Hell yeah, we need more intakes to choose from. Why not a larger TB though, seems liek the 90mm is old news. Isn't there a 105mm TB out there, Accufab I think?

Also, are these L-92 heads supposed to flow like LS7 heads? Better or less?

A 90mm T/B will be fine for 402/427 CID engine... I don't think you will see a benefit using a larger unit until you go above that CID. JMHO.

The TB size will most likely be an option. So you could go with a 4 or 5 bolt style TB and do damn near any size TB that you want like a 105 accufab. So in other words we could option for doing a ford 4 bolt 105 accufab which those TB's are cheap if I remember correctly. The NW is just more user friendly. We figured that would be plenty for the street.

Richard at WCCC just flowed them and got between 320-330 cfm intake side. The exhaust is a little weak but we both agree that the L-92 are some the best casting GM heads we have seen and the price on these things is just awesome.

Also we haven't done anything for the LS7 due to the fact that already flows better then the Fast and is dirt cheap. I don't think it would be worth the time and money to do a sheet metal I could be wrong but the GM intake is just stupid cheap.

Im interested. Dyno comparisons would be nice. Maybe your intake vs. a fast or ls2 intake.

That is an amazing price for a sheet metal intake...pending results. Lets see some results on a 408 or something similar. Are you guys going to be offering L-92 heads complete?

Im definitely interested. Although if the heads end up costing more than about 1000 bucks complete for the pair you will have a lot of trouble selling these as they will be a niche market.

If you can provide a package price topend for a 370" or bigger motor for around 2500 bucks you guys will be in some serious dough!

MY Thoughts exactly. I would even go up to around $3000, if you would do a little work on the exhaust side of the head to bring it up to par.

That intake look awesome!!! I'm wondering about a possible carb'd 4bbl intake of some sort? I'm thinking of a basic 6.0 project to start with the L92 heads I have...run the MSD controller with a good ol double pumper. Any ideas?

Thanks

A basic victor jr manifold will require A LOT of modification to work with these heads. Much more work than my time is worth IMO. The intake ports are off a good 5/8".

We are working on a set of these L-92's as we speak and the heads and intake setup is going into our MACABRE car for testing. We are considering offering these heads but are still researching interest in the heads/ intake package.

That is a great price for all that is included! Question: are those intake runners perpendicular to the intake's cylinder head mounting surface, or do they angle to match the path of the head's intake port like the stock intake? I can't tell from the pics.
Great job!!

just to clearify: If we do decide to build such a manifold this is an approx. price and will most likely be based on a GP. We are always looking for new ways to build and sell these things as reasonable as we can. If we do a GP we are likely to need at least 10 orders before we would decide to move forward.
