I got an l92 prototype intake from this same seller. Getting my heads ported now and anxious to put them on my 408 stroker.

I picked up the L76 intake from the Ebay seller. I figure I can sell my FAST for 700 so it's a wash.

L92 heads and L76 intake are going on a LS2 402 that we're building. Probably another 3 weeks before we fire it up.

BTW: Just ordered the Ram Dual disc clutch for the new setup.

so can we use our ls1 rockers with the l-92 heads as long as they come with the rocker stands? Is it true the only heads that need to offset rocker arms are the ls7's?

l92 heads come1.7 offset intake rockers, ls7 come 1.8 offset and yes you can use old rockers on the exhaust.

Undecided as of tonight although I have had some good input from people. I'm going t flow the heads with the intake and exhaust attached and then decide. I think I'm pretty close to choosing one now but I want to see final flow numbers.

nope, have to use offset l92 intake rockers or... offset ls7's. sdpc says they dont work but didnt give me a reason why.

Dont blame you for waiting for flow numbers. I already have a g5x4 cam and think i'll try it.

so I can use my comp pro mags on the exhaust side, but for the intake I need new l92 rocker arms? What is the price of the l92 rocker arms? Might as well just get all l92 rocker arms instead of using my comp pro mags for the exhaust. Thanks

www.sdpc2000.com The intake rockers are quite a bit cheaper than the exhaust rockers. It makes no sense.

I got the heads yesterday. I really think they are going to take a good split. The intake runners on these heads is huge and the valve looks like a dinner plate. The seat to bowl on these is beautiful from the factory.

Ordered the Ram Dual clutch yesterday - OUCH!

Ran into a problem today having my pistons flycut for my cam. Machine shop said not enough room for any more fly cutting toward the edge of pistons. The l92 heads valves are too close to outside edge of pistons. I have mahle pistons and g5x4 cam. Can anyone give me some info on this problem before I pull my hair out.

might have to use a slightly thicker head gasket and lose some compression?

Your only options are to reduce the thickness of the valves, lower the valve seats in the head, choose a thicker head gasket, shorten the cam duration or widen the lobe centers. Any combination of these choices will help, but not guarantee success. This will be a common theme with the L92 heads because so many piston manufacturers have pushed the ring package close to the crown of the piston.

Called mahle and they said it would be fine to cut off edge of pistons because i would still have 220 thousands thickness left. I just need to deburr well. Might would be a problem if i used nitrous or turbo but not naturally aspirated.
