SDPC does not list them per head or as a pair. If you know, there is no need to be a smart *** about it. Also, SDPC is a sponsor here so it is OK to post links. Plus you can save us all the phone call.

The heads are $175.00 each & it is best to go with all Manley valves & springs for the price. I have the bare heads & all Manley Pro-Flo cut stainless valves & they are sweet.

Notice in the pics how the valves are polished and the area in the ports is under-cut to flow about 20% more then stock. I have less then $1100.00 into them complete also good to about .620 lift. LOL

I read somewhere that the bare heads are made from castings that don't flow quite as well as the casting being used in the assembeld heads. Does anyone have any info on this?

By the way, those valves look sick!

Yes, the bare heads are not finished like the assembled heads. You'll need to do clean up work and a good valve job on them to achieve the same results. And, as mentioned, the stock valves are a two piece design and should be replaced in a severe duty application.

12582713 for the complete assy. $413.50ea

If it were me, I would buy bare castings and an aftermarket valvetrain. (the stock valves are 2 piece)

I have researched the L92 and put into a nice spreadsheet that should help you guys out. Email me if you would like a copy. randy@attituderacing.com

lol, its because alot of people have it set to automatically subscribe when you post in a thread.

rather then click the link to subscribe, (that is hard to see and alot of people dont know about) they just post in the thread, and its added automatically.

I also am interested in this. Mine have a nice valve job and everything has been machined. You can tell where they have been takin back apart as the outline from the spring cups are still visable.

I didn't realize the stock valves were 2 piece. How is that possible and up to what power levels should they replaced with say, Manley valves?? How come the SDPC versions come with stock valves and are making excellent power with them?

statement is false..... I have a set of bare castings that where ported to flow over 365cfm..... all it took was some massaging by the right fella.

if I where buying them stock without plans of porting the finished heads are the only way to go!
