Default 2006 Z06 baseline testing on Mustang dyno

Just thought you guys would like to know.


Dyno: Mustang
Vehicle: 2006 Z06 100% stock, no tuning
Max power: 423.0 hp @ 6250 rpm
Max torque: 404.1 lb-ft @ 4750 rpm

looks like a classic example of dyno fudging. if you use the same method that you dyno katech engines this would be a 600 hp z06. if the owner of this vehicle actually believes these numbers, i would suggest he/she bring it to a gm dealer for warranty engine work.

sounds right to me for a mustang dyno

every stock dyno ive seen so far has been dynojet and they are 440-460 so this is right on par for the dyno type

what are you talking about? 15% loss equals 425? how is that fudging?

Definitley dyno fudging!!!

Katech is know for being inaccurate, and usually subpar with everything they do!!!

Come on man.....what the hell are you thinking? This is a post from probably the most reputable GM performance speedshop/business/corporation in the country. If that was not enough for you....then I would recommend having some general knowlege of mustang dynos compared to a typical dynojet....then post you opinion...........which should be the dead opposite of what it is now!

There is a difference between an engine dyno and a chassis dyno.

uhhhh, i don't think he's getting a 30% drivetrain loss. Those numbers are right about where i expected them.
