Default Big Bore Heads

Does the LQ9 heads have the best potential on a big bore motor (4.060 Bore). I am looking to keep my compression at 11.5:1 or 12:1. I know these would have to be milled a lot. The best I can do on valve size with a -2cc piston I believe is 2.055.

I got my *** spanked by a Power Adder Cobra. Didn't mind all that much at the tome cuz she was HOTTTTT but now its bugging the hell out of me....I am getting 440 RWHP today on half *** heads.

are these heads for a new motor that your getting built, or a motor thats already in the car. If you already have the motor in the car tell us a little more about it, and tell us more about the heads thats on the car right now.

Iron block CI 396
-4.060 Bore
-Diamond Pistons -2cc
-Stock crank-ground down
-Carrilo Rods
Cam
-Luniati 236/236 595/595 112

Current Heads
-Ported stock
-202/157 valves
-Flow at 7.0 was 286/216

Rockers are Comp Pro Mag 1.75
Lifters -Comp R
Intake LS6
Headers Mac Mids

u are leaving hp in many spots

better header
better heads
bigger cam
fast 90/90

You are right,

When I built the motor the 90/90 was not out yet. Heads, Long tubes will be on the way soon. I want to get the heads first and then get the cam and intake to match. That is why I am asking about the LQ9's .

Any advise is welcome

right now your best bet would probably be going with AFR 225s or ETPs

Good ported LQ9 or LS6 heads will probably cost you just as much.

Get a set of the patriot stage 3 heads.
best bang for the buck. I made 492rwhp with stage 2 heads on a stock bottom end 6.0 with a cam in the high 230 duration and fast 90
same cam, intake and patriot heads made 535rwhp in another customers car with a 408. best part is they are only $1295 for a pair ready to go

I'm with corvette on this, if you're budget restricted, go for the patriot stage 3's, You also need to kill the cam, you need something with more int/exh split, maybe 4-6 degrees, and more lift for sure. Get the FAST 90, or a ported one from Tony Mamo, and you'll be set.
Also, you get the cam to match you're overall setup, and right now, the FAST 90 is about the only feasible option for an intake and good cost. The better your intake/head combo flows, the less duration you'll need, keep that in mind.
