Default GM Hightech, LS7 cam specs?

Does the current GM Hightech magazine have the stock LS7 cam specs correct on page 50? I thought the duration @ .050" was less than 230/231 on the stock LS7 cam.

I'd also be interested in knowing that piece of information.

Has anyone ever figured what the DCR of this factory LS7 427 is?
I calculated it once a while back and it was in the high 7's if I recall correctly.

What does DCR mean and is the cam 211/230 or 230/231? 230/231 sounds more conventional and it sounds more like a cam I'd want in mine than the 211/230.

It would seem to me that you could liven this engine up with a 230 +/230 + cam and still tune to a good idle.

What does DCR mean?

The DCR is the actaul compression the motor makes while it is running. It is a very important part of motor and cam design.

No different than any of the LSx series engines..the stock cam has to live up to longevity, emissions, drivability, ect, ect... there is always a lot of HP left on the table..it keeps Comp Cam and the rest of the cam companies in biz..
