hi,
will LS1 Carburetor kit work on LS2 engine, since the cam position sensor has been relocated.
is the signal from ls2 CPS same as ls1 CPM?

Two things maybe related:
The LS2 cam sensor is on the front cover but plugs right into the LS1 harness with extension.
Wegner makes a distributor setup for the LS1/6/2/.

It is only a two postion reluctor and both are seen by the LS1 PCM through the same harness so I guess so--

if you just add wire to the stock harnes, swap the 2 outside wires around, and plug it in, thats it. the 2 out side wires need to be swapped tho.
if you buy an extention, then im pretty sure it does this for you.

So you use the LS2 front cover with sensor,
and buy the ext cable from, Racetronics or Katech, plug it into the cam sensor harness and the exsisting LS1 cam sensor plug by the firewall.
If you are not doing this on a >97 car you are on your own.
