They don't have near the potential of a turbo. The parasitic losses aren't too big of an issue, they draw less power than a roots or screw type blower. The biggest inferiority is the boost ramp. You never get full boost until redline.

Are you guys going to polish these or are you going to ship them "as machined"? What companies CNC are you using? If it's going to be as machined, can you turn up the stepover in the final surfacing operations so they look nicer? The welds are absolutely gorgeous, they deserve to be on parts with a nicer surface finish...it might be the pictures, but it looks like a pretty huge stepover and some funky tool chatter on some of the surfaces.
