O.K., I've got a better idea. I want to see Cary, Brian and Tony battle it out in the octagon, UFC style. I promise I will buy heads from the winner.

Now there's an idea. I wouldn't mind seeing that myself. The octagon is a good idea also.

wonder how much actual gain ther is on a 408 iron motor, with FAST90/90, big headers, etc....by swapping between out of the bos ET 225, AFR 225, and TFS 225 heads....maybe .1 in teh quarter and 1-2 mph? Who knows....

I can't imagine there would be all that much difference...

SLED28- we don't want to trust the vendors we deal with. every vendor will tell you his product is the best, and i like most of us don't want the word only. we would like to see the test all on the same flow bench so then we can choose the one we think is best for us. i once took the word of a vendor and had a car that had a lot money in it and i only ran 12.2's in the 1/4mi. this site has a lot of great info and that info i used to now run close to 9's and will run deep 9's soon. i'de like to see someone put them all to a head to head to head test to make my choice for new heads easier. i think most vendors may be afraid of this because if they are out performed their heads may not sell as good. just my thoughts..... and sled28 please don't take this as bash,my thoughts are not to bash anyone or any vendor. be cool bro's.

I think your right about that, but everyone wants to be the top dog, and think they are. We assumed the ET 215 would outpower the TFS 215, and if it were not for the issues the ET heads have, they probably would. On the stock 5.7 shortblock the AFR 205 heads made 40 over stock heads, which is what they advertise. The ET heads made 50 hp and the TFS made 60 hp. So if you had them all on the same car, you are talking .1-.2 tenths in the quarter and 1-2 mph.

I predict we will see the same results or even closer with the 225 heads, because they are all close on flow. It will be a while before TFS knows for sure because they just lost a piston on the dyno

Mike, no problem, I hear what your saying. But I have nothing to gain, I just buy heads from head companies that sell to me Like I said though, its a can of worms. There's more to it then 10cfm anyways... Cam selection, rotating & valvetrain weight, comp etc. We all know that... It is a tough market b/c they are using a industry standard, 28" cfm, to compare products!
