Default Is 500rwhp possible with a H/C LS2?

I did a search and couldn't find an answer for this question. I would like to know if anyone been able to reach the 500rwhp mark with a H/C LS2. What heads and cam was used?

Those are 402's... I was asking about a stock bottom end LS2 with only Heads and cam.

They are 364ci, and yes you can hit it but expect to spend some money on it. Someone else like Patrick G will chime in im, sure but some milled heads, flycut pistons, and a big cam on a tight LSA will make 500 with all the apropriate bolt ons.

The answer is simple.
You have a very similar motor as the LS1 with a LS2 with a larger bore which is good for HP.
There have been a few 500+ RWHP H/C LS1's so it is defentially possible in a LS2.
You will need the right combo and have some good change to spend.
A large cam like a G5X4/MS4/something similar that is around 240 degrees in duration with 11:1+ compression and every bolton need to be done.
Ported Fast, solid exhaust, very good air induction, a near perfect tune, and of course a M6 will be a much as the A4's eat up to much power for a dyno number.

OR you could do a solid roller setup and get there with with some to spare with the right setup. Not saying your stock LS2 will like being shifted that high.

Its easy...all you need is cash and to expect it to idle like **** (for a daily driver anyway). Some love the lope. The torque will suck though. Stroke it a little bit and get both out of it.

Im looking to achieve as close as 500rwhp with a cam in the 230 duration range. I don't want to go over that while keeping the compression in the low 11's range. The car is an M6.

The new TrickFlow heads are getting in the upper 400's with 230ish cams.... $2400 heads though.

Don't get hung up on a dyno number, man. Just pick a good combo and have fun.

I'm there and a little more, assuming the dyno is correct of course. Yes it took money but it was more attention to detail.

there is a C6 some where on here with running a t-rak cam, kooks 1 3/4, everything else stock hitting 450rwhp, so you would think AFR or ETP heads, ported fast 90, ported tb, under driven pulley, elwp and a strong tune would hit 500whp. maybe go to a set of LG long tubes & G5X4 and you can be there. LG put a C5 Z06 at 505 rwhp with AFR heads, fast 90, long tubes, pulley and a strong tune. totally possible but you would be taking the stock LS2 to the edge. why not just say F-it go with a 402 and make the power with out going to a max effort set up. thats what i decided to do, instead of rebuilding the LS6 and taking it to a max effort set up. after seeing what stock pistons look like, i wouldnt trust that the motor would last long.

There is a guy, Nick, out of Tampa with an '05 GTO who has made over 500 RWHP with heads/cam setup. The following is his basic setup:

Engine: HELLION Cam | ETP 225's | FAST 90 | Kooks LT's | Kooks Custom Turn-Downs | SLP UD Pulley | K&N CAI | P/P TB | SLP Thermostat 160º | NGK TR6 Plugs| DIY Catch Can

Formato Tune: 513RWHP 457RWTQ
