I have a 69 Camaro with a carbed 383 that I would like to swap to a FI Lsx specifically a Ls2 or Ls7. I'm not a engine builder therefore I'm lookig for a quality professional builder that maybe you guys have had some experience with. I would like a streetable 525-550HP motor. I done a search and SDPC and W2W are a few mentioned. I would like a Turn key type set up. Any experience with Turn Key Eninges in Oceanside, Ca? They have a 550hp ls2 that is reasonable. Thanks for any help.

There was a thread on here a while back about Turn-key not delivering on their horsepower quotes. Personally I would look at a LS2 402 shortblock from one of the sponsors and top it off according to your budget and/or wishes. I know SDPC had a very good deal on one that they had, check the "for salel "section. Spearatech has wiring harnesses for almost everything and they are pretty reasonable. hope this helps.

Take a look at our packages. You may be interested in a Street Attack LS7 or Value 427.

Thanks, I thought the 510 HP Turn Key LS2 looked to good to be true, it appeared to be a stock LS2 with just a different chip/ tune added, maybe I'm wrong. Jason on another thread you posted the cost of the Street Attack LS7 as a price + LS7. 'm not sure what that means, is it price + LS7 block? That set-up although as sweet as it is maybe to much HP (630+) wow! I have a vert with 275 Nittos in the rear and would probably do fine with a 550HP engine and even then that may be too aggressive for a street car. However I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks

Jason, great numbers, lots of tq. It has to have street manners. What kind of performance do you have in an 402? I have heard of Dave DiLuca in a mag. article, it was a nice ride and the owner was pleased with the performance.

Jason, I checked your website and found a few other interesting blocks thay may work for me, the Torquer, and Storker LS2 and the Kspec 408. For comparison do you have any combo numbers for those blocks in the range of HP that I'm looking for? I believe that the April Hot Rod mag did an article on Katech taking a stock LS2 and achieveing close to 500hp with bolt on parts I didn't see the article but would appreciate any info on the details. Thanks
Dave

We could certainly handle anything you need. Most of our "turn key" engine options are found here:

The K.spec cam has excellent street manners. It's on a 116 LSA.
Here is the hot rod article.

For the price of this 427, a 402 just doesn't seem worth it anymore.

Nice set-up and I'm sure its a quality product, however since I'm swapping carbed power for FI in a 69 I have other considerations for the conversion and would like to keep the entire budget less than 20K. I agree with you on 427 v. less ci. and I'm leaning in that direction. By the way both Katech and W2W were recommended by some knowledgeable people on another site so I'm glad for the input.
