Default On a Cammed/Full exhaust ls7....

what kind of shot can be put on it that wouldnt have the engine in danger? People are telling me the vette's pistons are weak and could go with a turbo or blower setup. So with that inmind what kind of spray could be shot on these motors? 50? 75? 100? Of course tune has to be good but lets say the tune is good, not great but good. what shot is safe but still effective?

well HPE cracked the block with a Direct port 300 shot, (i think it was 300), but before that i believe the owner was running a 150 shot and no problems,

Its simply not designed for spray, cheezy pistons too. 75 shot is all I'd do if at all. But there are alot of LS1/6's that have been spraying 100-150 shots, so.....

Spray is your only option for quick HP. Wet shot.

I think the reason for lance's car blowing up was it broke hpe's dyno thus puting no load on the motor.

I talked to Chuck about it and he said after the tear down the block was fine. I forgot what exactly was damaged but the block/heads were OK.

Like someone else said the car blew because the dyno messed up. lol, They were already talking about a 350 shot up from 250, before the car even left.

The car blew up after they had finished it the first time with the forged bottom end.

Prior to that they were using the 150 shot, boltons, and their own cam. Don't remember the numbers exactly, 7##.
