LS7 oil pan adapter

Sorry if this is a repost, but I couldn't find anything with a quick search.

For those of you wanting to adapt the LS7 dry sump system without using proprietary lines or the GM tank GM Performance parts now offers a billet AN-12 adapter for the oil pan. I've been waiting since April for this part to become available and it finally came in.

The kit contains the billet adapter, two bolts, two gaskets, and two AN-12 to straight O-ringed fittings. The part number is 25534412.

It should be just the ticket for a lot of us. I hope this helps some of you out.

so exactly what does this part do? allow the use of the LS7 dry sump setup on an LS1 motor? will the oil pump fit etc? what other changes are required?

It's literally just an adapter to the oil pan. It'll let me use braided lines and standard AN fittings instead of the uber expensive and relatively rare GM lines. It will also allow me to use an aftermarket tank.

There are many other changes you'd have to make to use the oil system on an ls1.

ahhh, gotcha, i was thinking it was just an adapter to make it work with an LS1 setup. very cool in that respect i guess. i didn't realize that the gm lines were that hard to get ahold of.

I suppose they're not any more difficult to get ahold of than any other ls7 part. I've had no real problems getting parts other than extended wait times. But for me, because the motor is going into an rx7 they're the wrong length and expensive. I also can't use the stock ls7 tank, so the ability to use a Peterson or ARE tank is useful.
