Hey I just bought a set of L92 heads from a grad student of School of Automotive Machinist (SAM). The port has been redone by using a little epoxy. The roof has better lines and bowl compared to the stock GM version. The heads came completely bare no guides nore seats. Bronze guides were put in and Im not sure on what type of material was used on the seats. Here's some info on the heads.
-Valve job= well I was told not to say. Sorry
-Backcut on the valve=34 worked the best
-1/2 Radius's on the ports.
-Valve size=int.2.150 Ext.1.600
-milled= .075 the chamber is @ 58 right now. I could go .025 more.
As for the air flow what I know right now is that the intake flows 374cfm at max lift and 250 on the exhust on a 4.030 bore. It flowed 380 with the valve all the way open on the flow bench. I feel that I can get 380cfm if I were to go with a bigger valve like a 2.200 with out a problem. I will post some pics here soon and some flow #s aswell. Ps I cant wait to put these on my motor. Im just waiting on a carb intake.

man, 415 cubes, 370 intake, 250 exhaust, decent cheap intake, 1 7/8 headers, 250 duration, .620 lift cam, 600 NA crank hp all day long. I see about $7-8K for a complete engine that is light and badass...
Remember when the 422 strokers were the ****??? Shops wanting $15K for those things a few years ago!

I remeber just wanting 500 at the wheels....boy have things changed.
Im going with a .040 block 11 to 1 slugs ported l92's and a 4" crank. Mabye a 240/250 duration 650 lift. these guys around here are so stuck in 1990 its hideous. they think my ride will be track only.Im still building headers for my heap it will be awhile. Ill have about 6500 in the whole motor.

Im going to try to get some Ti. valves. I know they are going to cost an arm and a leg but the way I see it, you can't take the money with you when you die. Since the Dr's say I have Cancer, I say f_ck it lifes to short lets have some fun.

Now this heads still need plenty of work. I would like to see myself in the chambers for one. Im still not sure if Im going to stick with the 2.150 valves or go with 2.200. I will post more pics when they are all done.

i would leave them as they are and focus on getting your intake to flow in the same ballpark as the heads and i'd say 575 + should be no problem.if the spring pockets are opened up for a big spring like a set of 1.5- 1.55 dia dual spring i don't see a problem with a 2.15 valve being too much to control.

I would like to go with a Bech's sheetmetal intake but I already had him build me one for my C5R & LS1 heads. It would be intersting to see the flow number diff. between the sheetmetal and the carb intake. Maybe I should have him build me one anyways but in a carb version?
