We're nearly finished tweaking the 6.2l cnc program for you guys wanting to tryout the rectangle port heads on your strokers! We spent a lot of time developing the port & setting the valve height up for extra p/v while still flowing BIG AIR! These cylinder heads will be available with either stock 2.160"/1.59" valves, or the stage 2 2.180"/1.6x" valves. Either option will be shipping with our new valve spring option. With this setup I feel these heads will support about .630" lift or so. I'll test a few different setups to confirm this, but that's my guess...
Here's some flow data from the stock valve port:
.200 156 114
.300 226 154
.400 287 187
.500 325 207
.600 351 229
.650 357 234
This was flowed on a 4.030" bore plate. The port was designed to work well on 402/408/418 mid-size bore stroker applications. This cylinder head was designed for bore applications that the common stroker owner runs.
I hope to begin shipping these things late next week! I'll keep everyone posted with more details & dyno results as they become available.

THIS FLOW DATA IS ON A 4.030" BORE PLATE & USING NO EXHAUST PIPE!
Compare these flow numbers to others flowed on much larger bores...

I'm please with them so far. I've worked with Nicky @ SDPC flow testing 4 or 5 different sets of ported 6.2l heads & this head works much better than the ones we've compared them with. On a larger bore they can flow bigger air, but honestly who wants the 6.2l head on a 4.125" bore? This heads purpose is definately going to be for the 4.030-4.080" range.
Thanks
Jason
Thanks

I'm ASSuming that they are saying an LS7 head would be better for a bigger bore. although I would think these would still work well.
yes.
