Default Single Plane L92 Manifold

Anyone know when edelbrock might be releasing a victor series manifold for the l92 heads?

You wouldn't happen to know the part number would you, because I can't seem to find one no matter what search I try. I even see a picture of one in GM hi-tech, but the part number cast on the intake doesn't seem to exist.

I looked and couldn't find any pics. SDPC carries them though.

Would the carb L92/L76 intake be a better option than the composite L76 intake for a drag/race application seeing high rpms (7000-7500)?

I like the carb EFI intake but according to the test in GM high tech they made almost the same peak HP and the L76 made 40 more foot pounds of torque.

thats on a conservative street oriented setup, once you start spinning a motor to 8k+ rpm you need more air than the l76 or even ls7 manifold can provide.

people don't spend 3k on sheetmetal intakes just becuase they are shiny, the short runner large plenum desing is absolutely required.

I agree but not all of use spin our motors 8k plus. The carb intake is great if it is needed.

how much would this carb intake be total? i'm talking with machine work for the fuel rails.

and if it works, can you just use the speed inc rails and have stands built for them, and it would allow you to use the LS1 style injectors as well?

It should, I can't see it being different from the LS1 single plane manifold. Machining usually costs about $200 for the bosses, I would like to know the cost of it as well.

Ok...since my car/engine WILL see ONLY high rpms, what would be the better way to go, carb L92/L76 intake or FI L92/L76 intake? I don't care about driveability/streetability, all I care about is going as fast as I can in a 1/4 mile.

By the way, isn't the FI version of the L76 intake (composite) considered a single plane? I mean...it has separate runners for each port.
