LS7 in a 02 Z28?
LS7 in a 02 Z28? Ok, i have never posted on this forum before and I did look briefly at the stickies and didnt see anything. My father works for GM and told me he could get a great deal on a crate LS7, my question, what would need to be done to drop it in my 2002 Z28 M6.
Will my headers work? Will i need a new harness? New ECM? anything else?
Any suggestions would be apreciated before i serioulsy consider another dumb move on my part.

I dont know why you would want to drop a ls7 in your z28. For the same price you spend on the ls7 you could make well over that 500 hp that you would get from the ls7.

Basicaly i dont have time to screw with the pro-mod let alone my street car, I have the oppertunity to pick up a crate motor and i will drop it in if its straight forward, respect to Katech but im not doing all that extra stuff, i just need to know what HAS to be updated, i dont know if anyone has experiance with a direct swap and what will be manditory to change, thats all

Your crank shaft reluctor wheel is different, therefore it will not work straight up. You would need a different crank or pcm. Not sure how the computer stuff would need to be changed.
