Default LS2 402 with headers w/LS1 stock heads and intake?

a LS2 402 short block, Im putting it in my 94 transam.these heads are off a LS1 and so is the intake. The goal is just to get the motor and everything else to convert it in the car and running. I will be waiting for a little while before i can get heads and intake. what am i looking at for horsepower and torque?

if you're going to goto that much trouble putting an LS2 stroker in, go ahead and get the L92 heads and the L76 intake with a custom cam, and be done with it. Do it one time, rather than twice.

I agree the L92 heads can be had very cheap and the complete intake only costs $450. As far as a stock LS2 in your car with LS1 top end I would think somewhere in the low 300rwhp. With a set of those heads and intake with a decent cam you could be well over 400rwhp for alot less than you think.

you could probably make a little more than that with a 402 and an LS1 top end, depending on heads.

With a STOCK LS1 cam/heads in a 402 you could probably make: 350-375rwhp
Same Stock Cam, with L92 heads, maybe 380-390

But... put a REAL cam in a 403 with L92 heads (untouched) and L76 Intake... 500 easy.

BTW, where are you seeing an L76 intake for $450? Scoggins sells them for $528

If you plan on using the stock cam I would say about 350-360 hp and 390-400 tq. Why not pick up a used cam about a 230 or so and up that to about 400 hp or so? If not more.

Unless you are running more than a 250 shot, don't worry about the nitrous when you are picking a cam.
