Default AllPro LS7 style heads?

I can't find them listed anymore. Did AllPro drop the idea?

Just got off the phone with Bob at All Pro. They are ready, any way that you could possibly want them. As cast, 2 different port sizes, bare or assembled.

We have 2 sets beeing worked up for some big ci motors. They look really nice and big power potential.Thats one of the good things with Bob, you can get the head just about anyway you want unlike some others "we cant do that" or "they only get done one way"

I'm not looking to a cquire any right now... I'm happy with the ET240s's on my 402... but it is nice to keep up with the new stuff... never know when the urge to make a change might strike

These ports are fresh off the flow bench:
Lift___.100"_.200"_.300"_.400"_.500"_.600"_.700"_. 800"
280Int 73.8 149.2 217.2 287.0 330.8 358.5 381.2 391.9
100Exh52.3 103.8 156.1 206.0 227.5 240.5 248.5 253.6
Valve sizes are 2.180"/1.600"
Test bore = 4.155" No pipe on the exhaust.
We can make chamber sizes from 50-70cc.
We're preparing to get a 427ci on the dyno in the next couple of weeks. I'll post up the results shortly after.

Flow #'s look great... maybe someday if the et 240's become a bottleneck for me, I will have to put these into consideration.

Pricing please for fully assembled heads with the flow numbers advertised above with excellent dual valve springs good to at least .650 lift that one could bolt right onto a 427 LS7 or LS2 resleeved motor?

If pricing is getting sent out....I would like to know the cost of a set of both "as cast" heads AND for a set of fully ported heads (both bare...I have my own valves and valve springs)......

We've updated our website with info on the new LSW heads. We have flow and pricing info here.

We're going to discount the cost of a pair of machined heads $260.00 for the next few weeks. I can sell a pair of bare heads for $1649.00 plus shipping.

I think what Richard is talking about is this.

Pair of Bare Castings no work for $1649

Regular Price on Castings with CNC and work $3059.00

Distcounted price $3059.00 - $260.00 = $2799

The "bare castings" are in a "runable state" correct? by this I mean the deck/intake/exhaust/rocker/etc. surfaces have been machined but the ports are as cast. Is this correct? Or are you talking truly AS CAST (ie: just out of the foundry)?

I have to ask, what "upgrades" do these heads have over the factory CNC ported LS7 heads? Reason I ask is:

- twice the cost
- about the same flow (at .600" lift)

The CNC ported LS7 heads from the factory can still use work after you factor that in you may have made it up to the same cost as the All Pro's. Either way you can't lose.

Thanks for clarifying Mustang. Yes, the bare heads have all the major machining done. They are sold with all seats and exhaust guides installed. The intake guides are supplied with the heads but are not installed unless requested. These heads are primarily designed for high lift, high rpm racing applications hence the softer flow at .500" and .600" lift. If needed, we can bring down the peak flow some and pump up the mid lift flow, but you can't have both. $2799 buys you two CNC ported heads ready for valves, springs retainers etc,.
Be careful choosing a particular head merely based on flow. With that said the intake and exhaust ports have nearly 20cfm more peak flow than a standard LS7 head which as we know has a very well designed and executed intake port. The All Pro's are a thick wall casting with at least 50% more material behind the head gasket surface. These heads have a lot more aluminum in virtually all critical areas. The LSW heads weigh just over 4lb more than a standard LS7.
All Pro has built a great reputation making durable high quality head castings for racing small block Chevys in the Sprint Car and drag racing circuts for a long time. I chose to work with their heads because I believe their products have a lot of racing inspired technology built into them. The LS7 head is a fantastic head for street driven cars and some that do light track work but there is a reason why the Chevy C5R Covette team doesn't run them. They wouldn't hold up to the rigors of racing. Simply put, the All Pro heads like the racing Chevy counterpart (the C5R head) are built to hold up under extreme pressure.
I wish it weren't so, but quality and durability aren't cheap.

Richard
