Default L92 heads, forged pistons

ok i spent 30 minutes searching all over and i never found information.

since the L92 heads are a diffrent angle, what kind of forged pistons do you need to run on a 4.00 inch bore motor.. and where can i find these expensive parts?

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but th L-92's are the same 15 deg as the LS1's. The LS7s are on a 12 deg though. The difference is the 2.16 intake valve. At this time it looks like a custom piston. I am sure Dieamond could make you a set. Maybe you could talk to TSP and find out where they get them from.

Arrow

Th L92 reliefs are different with a much larger intake valve and wider valve spacing. I have recut several and with no cylinder head milling and certain cams you still might get away with a regular piston anyway but they definitely will hit earlier and on the outer edges of the OEM reliefs when they do.

I am doing some batches of L92 flat tops for the 4.100 and the 4.00 strokes and with some semi fancy ring packages to make it all even better.

I don't know how big the JE reliefs are either radially or depth-wise?

Hopefully it will work for you but I would check first with the fairly big cam..

i just picked up my 6.0, and id like to just use the stock bore/stroke. stock crank, forged pistons and rods. id love to do some L92 heads but i already have a set of 243s right now, and id like to build my bottom end once.

what are the odds that the combo you are doing for me will be the first f-body with an more aggressive cam, L92 heads, and L76 intake on the street????

I hope to be on the road in February!

Well I am doing two but they are much more radical.

My L92 pistons are in 4.070 or 4.075 bore and have 1.2, 1.5, 3.0mm rings and will be a normal price but the rings are much better than what other people have.

Erik, why the .070" bore? is that as "small" as you feel comfortable with running these big intake valves? might have to get a set of those off you soon when i come get that block. for stock stroke ofcourse (strokers are for pussies!!!!!)
