Jegs has the LS7 crate motor for $12,999.

GM Parts direct has it for $12,949.

Those are probably the best prices around, unless you can get some kind of commercial discount through a dealership or something.

EDIT: Matt@SDPC - Can you guys match or beat those prices from Jegs and GMPD??

Yes me too. I wonder how much that could be without LTs at Katech? And what kind of power could it make ?

At minimum, we could just swap the cam, springs and retainers. It would be pretty cheap and make 600hp. I'd really recommend a full build with forged pistons though.

Thats why I said mild cam. lol

It seems from what I've been reading that the only real "weak" point in the LS7 is the pistons. Isn't everything else titanium or fordged?

Default LS7 Crate Motor - what's included?

What is included in this $13K LS7 crate motor? The SPDC entry is fairly non-descriptive:

http://www.sdpc2000.com/catalog/120/...Cubic-Inch.htm

Is this just a long block? Includes intake? Fuel rails and injectors? Oil pan? Dry Sump tank and lines??

Please advise - have a customer that might be willing to go this route if it includes everything... or if we can get a handle on what everything needed would cost.

If supplier has more info you can e-mail me at: sales at vorshlag dot com

thanks!
