I'm waiting to see what GM releases for 6 bolt heads before I make a decision.

by your same logic 243 heads would be a good choice too because they are cheap, the bigger bore would unshroud the valves more etc. only good thing about the L92 heads is that they fit on a 4.00 inch bore. if you want to you can buy LS7 as cast heads, which would still outflow L92 heads. the only reason why you want to run a bore bigger than 4.125 is so that you can get LS7 heads on the motor in the first place. its self defeating to put inferior heads on a motor in the first place. lets put L92 heads on an LS7 and expect it to produce more hp
Have you tested any L92 heads on a 4.125 bore block? This head in stock form ( 255 runners, 2.16 intake valve, 335 flow #'s @ 600 lift) is enough to work with a 4.125 bore block. Is it enough for a 4.250 bore, probally would need to be cnc ported etc. do some research on some of the bbc heads and see runner size and flow numbers. After reading this information, L92's and LS7 heads are superior in stock form.
