Default ET 245`s flow down low (with pics)

Just to throw something out there. Greg Good worked on my heads and flowed them. I don`t have the flow sheets yet but this is a quote from him-

(Yep, they went over 290 cfm @ .400" lift (4.00" bore). That's the most mid-lift I've seen so far on a cathedral port LSx head.)

He said these heads flow awsome all the way threw. The motor is at G-Force right now. Erik dropped it off last night. I will have the complete build sheet and flow numbers when I pick her up. I just thought ya`ll might want to hear what he said about them. If anyone knows about Greg Good, you know he is the man! We should be putting the motor in today or friday at G-Force. I will keep everyone posted. The cam in my new 408 is huge!!

Just got a few pics to update from mike! Hope you enjoy! And one of the car!

Are you still running a FAST intake or are you getting something that will keep up with the flow of those cylinder heads? Awesome results BTW. Greg knows how to extract every last bit if flow, that's for sure.

Wow, those ports look massive! Nice blending by GG. So what kind of intake and exhaust is going to keep up with these?

Intresting... any reason you ahd him report the et heads? Was there a problem, or did he do it to try to get more from them?

I'm running the same heads... so I'm curious as to the reasoning behind the additional work.

When the new motor was blown there was some damage to the heads. Greg fixed everything! Then being who he is, good isn`t enough. He went to work like always and made something alittle better, no ALOT better. But if anyone knows him, thats the way he works. When someone is the best thats how they work and he is!

Patrick- kooks 1 7/8 and the Fast is ported bigtime(car in sig parts wise). I know the fast isn`t enough, but I`m saving for a Custom intake like Nineball from Beck for my set-up. Just don`t have the money! Also, I believe we are going to speed density tune this time! Mike said we might crank her tonight!! Will let everyone know!

You getting 290CFM@.400" of lift, probably have 230CFM@.300" of lift.

Think about it, around 5 years ago we'd be happy at 290CFM@.600" lift, and 230CFM@.400" lift was not that bad an ideal.

When will you have the full flow sheet? Did they fall off at .650 lift?

I would think after being worked over, they would flow well past .650. Mine died a little past 600 and I had a guy do minimal work, he got them to 330@700.

Should be nice Beard! For comparison, the 265's hit just over 290 @ .400". I wonder how close to that he got cc wise? Deffinatlly time for a intake.

I believe mine are still 64cc. Car should crank today and Mike will speed density tune monday or tuesday. So dyno numbers next week. I will post flow sheets and all when I get her next week. I can`t wait to hear this big cam fire up! Mike also said Greg ported on the intake some more. Looked awsome apart. Greg Good is badass at what he does! I beleive Erik said I will be running close to 11.3:1 comp. Cam is in the 250`s 640 lift 112lobe! I hear power!!

I know they flow good on a 4.0 bore!!

Chris.

These are avalible for 3.900 through 4.125.

Due to the positioning of the valves, the intake valve at 2.080 is still further from the bore than a stock 2.00 valve, I thought this may come up, so I am answering it now. BTW Greg Good, very respected over here!!

David, I can't wait to see what it does. Please, you or Greg send me some flow numbers. I'd like to see what they do now. BTW, I am really glad to see that you went to Eric for the build, I've been trying to get this stuff in his hands for a long time, he is badd-***!
