Not your fault Chris. Edelbrock should have done a much better job with this piece.

BTW: Richard at WCCH PM'd me that the PAC 1521 springs were in great shape so we're using them.

I spoke with a few people who had the QTP piece and said it was very hard to get it to seal. I think everyone's assumption was that Edelbrock would produce a top quality piece. Unfortunately, as we now know, they need some "massaging". Racer8088 pm'd me the same info.

I love the cam that's in there now. That's why it's in the new build to start. Out of respect for Shawn at VA Speed, I told him he's welcome to try one of his designs. This will be done on the engine dyno so changing the cam is no big deal. We'll see what cam goes in the car. Thanks for adding nothing to the thread.

Bret is really a smart guy.His only problem is that he doesn't know how to talk to and or treat people and his ego is way too big.Too bad,he could probably really go somewhere in this world if he got the chip off his shoulder.I think my new cam will help out,no reinventing the wheel here-just trying to make it a little rounder.

NICE!!!! So that's what a 2.200 valve looks like in these heads. I know Richard's original CNC program left most of the intake runner untouched. I see the new program hits a lot more of the runner. It also looks like he opened the combustion chamber up for the larger bore.

Thanks Shawn!

I also picked up a low mileage Z06 torque tube, tranny and diff at a price I couldn't refuse and it's in VA Beach. Ed's picking that up this weekend. He'll put my hardened long shaft in the new diff. He'll also check the torque tube bushings in the Z setup.

mn12 trans + 3.90's + more cubes + more hp + more tq = good luck getting traction Kevin.

Still going to run those PS2's 315's ?

The Z06 rear is 3.42 but nets the same 6th gear as an M6 w/ 3.90's which I was running. 1st gear is taller which may actually help control the RWT. Traction has been elusive anyways. It will be moreso now.

On paper it all looks very promising. We'll have to wait and see where it ends up. Should be strong though.

Should be just about perfect for picking up the groceries and getting to the clubhouse.
