You're very fortunate to have a great shop like VA Speed close enough to you to get your build done! I guess they are proving all of the non-believers of the L92 heads wrong. I think it's great that you guys started thinking "out of the box" when you did the 402 and now really taking it to the next level with the 427. Bet you are chomping at the bit waiting to get the car back now! When you do get the car to an MIR track rental I know you are going to surprise everyone, (including yourself).

Soo...How much of the hp increase would you attribute to the Fast intake and throttle body??? Looks to be around 25hp or so?? Maybe this can shut up some of the FAST haters.

LOL - Everyone just knew when this thread was started that the L92's just won't work. It's fun to read some of the old BS.

I guess that just again supports the age old adage that when you have the right combination of parts that work together the results will be phenomenal. From precision machine work, spec'ing the right camshaft, dead on tune and all the small supporting hardware it just all works.

Now here is the big question....How many more LS1 engines is "Virginia speed" going to build that are going to the baddest in their respective categories?

So what are we talking about here Kevin ? 500+ rwtq from 3000 rpms to redline with a table top curve like stock? But 200 or so more at every rpm !!!

I'm making a road trip this summer just to go for a ride and do some vids of your car cruising the highways. Are you up for it ?

CONGRATS !

On a side note maybe I'll wipe the dust and rust off my clubs and we'll hit a bucket and play 18. You gotta spot me 1-2 strokes a hole though ! Haven't played in OVER 10-12 yrs. I need shoes, *****, a glove etc.

Ok back to our regularly scheduled WKMCD program. All hail the tq monster.

Could be with a composite intake manifold.

Here's the dyno chronology:

427 Old Cam............................................605/588

427 New Cam...........................................621/601

427 Port Matched FAST w/ 90mm TB............633/616

427 Shawn Miller massaged FAST/107mm TB..656/614

It looks like Shawn managed to get the FAST to produce 35hp with the FAST. Not too bad,

Man, I tell ya what, I can't wait to get this thing in the car, and see what it makes at the wheels.

Every time the power went up the dynamic airflow went up. In other words, there were no dyno tricks, or tuning secrets to make power, only dialing in the fuel to the requirements. We ended up at 13.0:1 A/F and 28 degrees timing. Normal for something like this. It was pretty cool. Every time the power went up, the airflow went up, and the vacuum went down. Well at least it started going down with the FAST and the modifications to it.

Neddless to say, EVERYONE involved is MORE than happy with the results. Now if we can just get it to make 535 at the wheels LOL J/K

Well done Shawn and Ed...

Between the 633 and 656 results, how much of a difference did the 102mm TB make on its own. Or did Shawn port more out of the FAST to get the CSA up and test the two at the same time?
