show me these LS1 heads that are making 635 crank hp on 418 cubes with hyd. cam. Please. Where????
418 cubes and about 545-555 rwhp with a cam that probaly isn't close to optimum is AWSOME. 427 strokers with completely ported LS6 heads with comprable cam size and FAST 90/90 setups are about 550 rwhp, and this combo has been scienced out for years. A 418 with ported L92 and L76 set up is a LOT cheaper than a 427 LS1 series motor as well.
I also think we will see 650-675 crank hp with the right cam, still being a hyd roller too!
Figure about $7500-$7700 TOTAL for a forged 418 shortblock ($4500), cam ($500), ported/assembled heads ($1800-$2000), and L76 intake/TB/Rails/Injectors ($528). That is a HELL of a deal for a brand new forged 400+ inch motor that makes this kind of power with quite a few factory parts! Exciting times for LSX'ers!
