Default Cam for a 402

I know some guy has one on here for that bigger Engine, I want a good idea to go with for this setup, and how to figure out all the compression calculations.
My setup is goin to be a 402(4.000x4.000), L92 Heads with possibly a 3-angle Valve Job, L76 Intake with complete LS2 Fuel Injection System, 90mm Holley TB, and a 85mm MAF, so the airflow won't be a problem. The Stall is going to be a Yank SS 3200, so it stays a little easier on the Car, and street friendly. I want something that sounds nasty, like about a 111 LSA, but has some strong power up to about 6300, I want to shift it around 6500. I was looking at the TSP Magic Stick 3, 237/242, .603/.609, 112LSA. A friend of mine has this in a stock 6.0l Truck Ironblock, and it got him into the 10's with his setup, and he is still stock Engine with just that Cam.
What do you guys think, can I go a little bigger with my setup and still run with that Stall?

I put a 239/248 .649/.615 110LSA +1 in my 402 and it doesn't have the greatest manners--and that is with a 6spd--I would say you have a good one there, with an auto and that stall I'd stay a bit on the smaller side..

That MS4 should be a good cam for that motor (has 111* LSA, right?). I don't know if I would go any tighter on the LSA for a street motor. That cam SHOULD pull hard up high. I've got a 249/244 on a 114+4 LSA in my 408. Has EXCELLENT street manners, but I want something that pulls harder up high like you are wanting. I may get the MS4 and try it (when I get the ambition)

This is a cam that my cam grinder came up with for one of my customer's with the L92 heads and a 403 cid motor.

296/306 Adv Dur
236/246 @0.050 Dur
111+2 (or 113+4 for better streetability)
.639"/.657" lift with 1.8 RR's

That's an interesting Cam, it should have some good mid range to high end power with that Exhaust being open like that.

Yeah the 1.8 RR's were recommended on the exh side to help the with the weak exh flow number's.

You think that it will benefit this setup to do that, or run it the way it is and keep some of that torque in it.

The lift figures shown above are with 1.8 RR's on both the intake and exhaust side. You will have pleanty of TQ with that camshaft with your 402. That is not a very big cam and was designed with everyday driving in mind.

That's the way I kinda want it, especially with the SS3200 Stall.
