A proper plate would use all the fasteners in the plate during honing just like the assembled engine, so a specific torque plate for these blocks would be made in a perfect world.

anybody know if this block can be bored out enought to make a 492 cube motor with a 4" stroke crank??
Im currently looking at building a 433 for my 92 Sonoma GT, but since the truck number is 492 id love to build a 492 cube monster to go in it.

yeah ive read thru that thread and am very impressed, but way way way way way way out of my budget.
Since i was going to use the L92 block, im thinking about spending the extra 500 bucks and getting the LSx block and building a 454 cube motor for not much more than the 433 will take. The strap on a big ole hair dryer pumping 15-20#'s of boost.
