But why not just use a 16 injector intake. Run on pump gas full time and than when you hit the throttle the other 8 injectors automatically start spraying race gas from a stand alone tank to a 75/25 mix of race/pump gas at a preselected boost/power level. All on the fly.

.
Hell if your going to do that screw the race gas and run alcohol through it, it has a much higher octane rating, is cheaper, cools the intake charge and reduces EGT's.......

Just hope that second pump doesn't fail...........

My 'ultimate vasco 400' from Mikes has held up to 5 seasons of 1000HP+ in a 4000 lb car, PLUS never been freshened up. Now I'm on the brake for 3-4 seconds building boost with the new turbo motor, this thing kicks *** and never misses a beat. Toughest tranny I've seen.

1300 on pump is a ton of risk. Unless you are running at the pump gas drags better fuel should be used.
Your size question will relate to how far you need to go with fuel, less octane needs more cubes in general. If you can use good fuel, a nice 427 with a pair of GT42's will get it done easily.
