Default Our LSX is done

Well we have had a lot of issues and setbacks but our LSX is done and should be running on the dyno shortly.

Doesn't look like many LS engines.

Here is a picture. The guy in the GMPP garb is the engine builder Jeff Stealy. Jeff has worked his butt of on our Nitrous 454 LSX engine. If it bolted to the engine it had to be modified in some way. Jeff has the ability to get things done.

If you guys want to purchase an LSX hat and/or GM Performance Parts T SHirts they are selling online over at gmperformanceparts.com.

Thanks

Robin

Nice work Robin.
It's nice to see a few large displacement builds up and running. They're sure not an easy bolt together. Lots of detail and fitting to do.

Congrats on finishing this project.

No, that is a MSD Universal Belt Drive Distributor. It has a 1/4" belt that is driven off the front of the Jesel Belt Drive. The MSD Digital Programable is triggered by the Crank Trigger.

Looking for power on Motor in the 950+ range. Will spray an additional 4 to 5 on a NOS Pro Fogger single stage.

Richard, thanks, you understand how much it takes to get something like this done LOL.

Robin, what heads and bottom end components are in the motor? Compression ratio?

The motor looks very good!

So that must be a Pro-jection throttle body then. Funny, I can't see the fuel injectors. Must be a new proto-type from Holley!!!! LOL
Robin, why is the first GMPP's 454 not fuel injected? Seems to me this is a step in the wrong direction. I realize that sanctioning bodies mandate carbs and all, but you guys have pull there at the General and it is time to get EFI regulated in all racing classes. If you guys can't get the rules to change, none of us will be able to. Just a thought. Nice work though, that thing should put the old SBC's in the garbage.

Awesome build up, me and my dad have talked about doing the same type of build up for our Top Sportsman truck. It will be interesting to see how its going to run.

Compression ratio is 14.5 to 1

It took a ton of work by Jeff at Stealy to make this deal work.
