The LS3 is insulated and looks different from the top. It is what that is inside that counts?????

I've heard it's the same as the L76. We'll know for sure in a few months.

I dont know the answer to the question, but if it is the same as the L76 that would be great news, atleast for anyone running an L76 intake right now. This should help speed up the process of engineering a better flowing aftermarket intake that will support higher rpms, and wont break the bank like a sheet metal intake.

Don't the vettes redline at 6600 now? The L76 would seem to be a little restrictive for that. Hoepfully, there is a new LS3 that flows better up top.

What we are seeing from GM with the LS3/L76 is really state of the art as proven by FAST, Edlebrock, LPE and all the sheetmetal guys. A manifold that makes good HP AND torque while fitting under the hood of a C5/6 is a major challange.

If you look closely at the front portions of the intake manifold, you can definitely see a big difference between the two manifolds. So, I'd say there is positively a new "LS3" intake manifold that is different from the L76.

Wrong, the LS3 has a accoustic shell that goes over the intake to reduce noise, so that is why the LS3 intake looks different than the L76 intake but it's actually not different underneath the shell.

Check this out.

Check out the post from LG, all is revealed. Basically same as L76 with minor connector differences.
